Martha M. Tarpay, MD
Allergist and Immunologist
Dr. Martha Tarpay is the founder of the Allergy, Asthma, and Clinical Research Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Dr. Tarpay was born in Hungary and received her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Budapest Medical School, where she graduated Summa cum Laude. She completed a residency in Internal Medicine at St. John’s Hospital in Budapest and a residency in Pediatrics in Calgary, Canada. She pursued a Fellowship in Infectious Diseases and Immunology at the University of Oklahoma.
After her fellowship, Dr. Tarpay was invited to join the faculty. During her sabbatical, she worked with Dr. Robert Good in Immunology. Always in pursuit of furthering her medical knowledge to provide better outcomes for her patients, Dr. Tarpay completed a Fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at National Jewish Hospital in Denver Colorado, a world renowned leader in respiratory, allergic and immune diseases. After her fellowship, Dr. Tarpay became the Chief of Pediatric Allergy Services at Children’s Hospital. In 1987, she established the Allergy, Asthma, and Clinical Research Center.
Dr. Tarpay is Board Certified in Allergy/Immunology and Pediatrics. She is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology; the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology; American Academy of Pediatrics, the Oklahoma State Medical Association, the European Allergy Society, the World Allergy Organization and the Western Allergy Society. She is a consultant for several pharmaceutical companies, and as a Certified Principal Investigator is actively involved in clinical research trials, keeping up to date on the best, most current allergy and asthma treatments available.
